Join a Committee! There are always lots of things going on at Shomrei, but all that activity depends on the generous commitments of time and energy by volunteers like you. And as people’s energies naturally wax and wane, new volunteers are always needed to ensure that all those programs, services and initiatives keep going and get even better.
Nowhere is this more evident or important than on the committees that guide and set strategy for our many endeavors.
Is there a program that strikes you as falling short of its potential, or do you have some cool ideas for new ones or new approaches to old ones? Would you like to lend your financial savvy to Shomrei’s budget process, or bring your salesmanship and creativity to our fundraising efforts? Are your children school-aged, and would you like to help steer the direction of our preschool or Jewish Learning Center?
Each of these areas, among others, is the focus of one of Shomrei’s synagogue-wide committees. And each of those committees is looking for new volunteers.
Serving on a committee is a great way to get to know your fellow synagogue members in both social and meaningful ways. It’s a way to express yourself and to contribute your secular skills and talents to the cause of building a better Shomrei. It’s also a terrific investment: whatever you put into it, you are likely to enjoy the benefits many times over, in many different ways.
Please peruse the different committees listed in the drop-down menu.
