Who We Are and What We Stand For

At Shomrei Emunah Preschool, we recognize that the first 5 years of a child’s life are a critical period of development---a time when we as parents and educators strive to recognize and cultivate our children’s inborn talents and their humanity in way that is equally loving and effective. Our preschool program, which is based on a thematic “learn through play” approach, is designed to comprehensively address and balance children’s four major developmental needs from the early toddler years to the pre-kindergarten period. The areas of major developmental focus are:

  • INTELLECTUAL/ACADEMIC
  • SOCIAL
  • RELIGIOUS/ETHICAL
  • EMOTIONAL

The Preschool Program of Congregation Shomrei Emunah (“Shomrei”) provides an atmosphere that encourages a positive sense of self, caring relationships with others, and a broader sense of community. As a Jewish program, we are dedicated to instilling a positive sense of Jewish identity by teaching our young students about Jewish traditions, holidays, and values. Each day at Shomrei is devoted to planting the seeds for the future---the seeds that will ultimately take root and grow into a love of learning, a strong sense of community, and a desire to achieve.
