Aylah Winter, Director of Education
Heather joined Congregation Shomrei Emunah in 2013 as the Preschool Director, where she enjoyed connecting with young families and helping to foster nurturing relationships with Shomrei's youngest constituents. In 2016, she expanded her position to include the JLC, becoming the Education Director for Shomrei. She works to bridge the educational, social, and spiritual journey for families moving from the preschool through the religious school journey and beyond. With an MAEd from the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, she has worked in a variety of Jewish education settings for 20 years, both as a teacher and administrator. Most recently, she served as the Director of Young Family Programs at the JCC in Manhattan. Heather and her husband Seth live in West Orange and are both active in the MetroWest Jewish community. They have a son and a daughter who both attend Golda Och Academy. Heather looks forward to connecting your family with the greater Shomrei community!
Lilly Lucey, Student Rabbi
For the past twelve years, Lily has worked at Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater, Florida. She served as B’nai Mitzvah Teacher & Coordinator, prayer and song leader, cantorial soloist at synagogue and community events, religious school music teacher, and was often involved with synagogue and holiday programming. She is passionate about teaching Torah and Haftarah trope and Shabbat t’filot to students and their families with the hope that they will carry these skills with them for their future participation in synagogue life. She believes strongly in the importance of establishing relationships with students and families as they find their personal relationships with the Jewish experience.

Rabbi Julie is the rabbi and co-founder of Zamru, a musically innovative, spiritually-engaging, inter-generational Friday night indie minyan based in Princeton that grew to a community of over 300. In addition, she co-founded Shabbat Katan, a creative, interactive, 5 and under service that revitalized young family engagement at her local synagogue. Rabbi Julie will be very involved in the JLC program and will lead STOM (Teen Group).
