JLC Tuition & Fees, Fall-Spring 2024-25

All tuition and fees are per child unless indicated. All programs offered are on an annual basis. 

Independent Study: directed independent study programs are also available for those with other commitments on Wednesdays or Saturdays.

All programs are in-person.

Financial Aid

There are a limited number of need-based partial tuition-remission scholarships available. An application and interview with the Shomrei Treasurer and/or VP for Finance is required. If you need a partial tuition-remission please check off the appropriate box on the online registration form. Applications are confidential.
 

Shomrei Membership - You Decide the Level of Your Dues
While the cost of JLC tuition is fixed, Shomrei's dues system allows you to decide your level of membership dues to the synagogue -- you name the dollar amount, it's all up to you. In a very real way the Shomrei community makes a commitment to the Jewish education of your children. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of the JLC, it’s subsidized by all the members of the congregation. We ask that you, "pay it forward" and join our community so that together, each generation will help the next in the crucial task of educating our children and young adults. We ask you to join our congregation as a condition of enrollment.
 

Payment Plans 

Lump Sum
Tuition is due Aug 1, just prior to the start of the term or w/registration, whichever is later. Pay by check or credit card.

2 Payments
Half of remaining tuition (less deposit) due Aug 1, just prior to the start of the term or w/registration, whichever is later. Final payment is due the following Nov 1. Pay by check or credit card.

Monthly Installments
Monthly installment payments of remaining tuition (less deposit) start with a payment due Aug 1,  just prior to the start of the term or w/registration whichever is later and must be paid the first of each subsequent month until final payment is due the following Feb 1. Monthly installment payment plan is subject to approval and requires automatic (automated) monthly payment by credit card.
